Is Debt Elimination Right for You
We offer two different services to help you eliminate debts: debt consolidation and debt negotiation. Find out which service is right for your situation here.
Debt Consolidation
Debt consolidation is one way you can eliminate debts. Debt consolidation is ideal for those who have many, high-interest debts and want the convenience of a single monthly payment. Debt consolidation can help you eliminate debts in just a few short years by reducing your interest expense. If you are tired of juggling dozens of payments each month, you should consider debt consolidation. Good candidates to eliminate debts with debt consolidation should:
- Have at least $5,000 in unsecured debt
- Be fairly current on payments
- Have many creditors
- Be willing to cancel the credit cards included in consolidation
- Want to improve their credit score
- Have high-interest debts
Debt Negotiation
Debt negotiation is a more serious means to eliminate debts. Sometimes called debt settlement, debt negotiation is designed for people who have a large amount of unsecured debt and are possibly in danger of bankruptcy. Debt negotiation requires you to stop paying your creditors for a period of time while your consolidation service negotiates with your creditors to help eliminate debts. Usually, our service can reduce the total payoff amount of your debt by about 50%. While we are negotiating, you will make payments to a holding account. Once negotiations conclude, you will pay off your debts using the money you've deposited in this account. Keep in mind that if you eliminate debts with debt negotiation, the service will have an initially negative impact on your credit because you won't be making any payments. If you have any questions, please visit our "FAQ" page. Good candidates to eliminate debts with debt negotiation should:
- Have $20,000 or more in unsecured debt
- Be in danger of bankruptcy
- Be seriously delinquent on payments (at least three months)
- Be willing to stop paying creditors for a time
- Understand the initially negative impact the service has on credit
- Know accounts will be marked paid-in-full once negotiations conclude
